Those who visit Porto de Galinhas come across works in plastic arts and handicrafts by several artistic names, from the little known to the very renowned.
A classic of the city, for example, is the production of the plastic artist Carcará, author of the postcards of Porto de Galinhas and of the nice and famous sculptures of chickens that figure in the center of the city.
Other well-known productions are those of Romero Marques, of Recife, whose studios are full of precious items made with recycled raw material from the discarded materials from the manufacture of surfboards, and from the mats and fibers of coconut trees, among other residues extracted from the bottom of the sea.
